The Italian community has experience a rapid growth over the last 10 years, and as is often the case with expats and emigrants each person brings along culture and traditions. Products, shops, restaurants, and “Italian style” events are becoming more numerous in Dubai and the whole Gulf Area.

Dubaitaly Food was born to promote Italian quality products and to inform about the rich culinary heritage of Italy. The project is developed by telling the story of the different products and companies selected, and to find tipical and authentic Italian products in Dubai.

The objective of Dubaitaly Food is to foster the Italian food industry, in contrast with “Italian Sounding”, helping people to come to know and purchase true Italian quality products available in the UAE.




Elisabetta Norzi came to Dubai in 2008. Born and raised in Turin, after a degree in Modern Literature she moved to Bologna for a master’s degree in journalism. Here she came in contact with the local associations, and decided to write about social issues. She joined the staff of the press agency Redattore Sociale, collaborated with the Segretariato Sociale of state television RAI and for the Espresso-Repubblica group. With her passion for travelling, she wrote a piece as a freelance about the “saffron revolution” in Burma, which won the attention of the major national newspapers and media. After several years of working as a correspondent in Dubai (Peacereporter, Linkiesta), she established Dubaitaly with Giulia Violante.



Armoodillo is a data-oriented digital integrator. Part of an extended network of professionals based in Europe and the Middle East is working with passion and resilience in developing platforms and digital communication. From web to mobile development, they offer high-class services, to small and medium enterprises. They have been working in the region for several years with private companies and government entities, providing customers with a decisive benefit in terms of consultancy when integrating highly performing and secure digital products.
